| Rebates: |

| As of March 26th, 2010, Xcel Energy offers a $2.55 per watt rebate on solar electric systems installed up to 10 kW (10,000 watts) in size. |

| The Xcel rebate is split into two rebates. First, Xcel offers a fixed rebate of $2.00 per watt. Second, Xcel offers a rebate called the REC payment. The REC payment rebate is reduced as predefined pools of money are used up. Currently the REC rebate is $0.55 per watt. |

This totals a current available rebate from Xcel of $2.55 per watt.
As an example, the rebate on a 3kW (3000 watts) system
would be $7650.00. |

| Tax Credits: |
 |
| The Federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) of 30% is available on the total installed cost of a solar installation. This tax credit is calculated on the total installed cost of the system after rebates. |

| Financing: |
 |
| Financing is available through the Climate Smart Loan Program and is available to all Boulder County residents. |
 |
- Up to the full cost of the solar is loaned.
- Debt is tied to the property, not the owner.
- Easier to obtain than private loans in current market.
- Countywide pool of funds obtained through the sale of bonds.
- The county pays the contractor directly resulting is less out of pocket expense.
